Firefighter of the Month: April 2021

Congratulations to Senior Firefighter Nick Rogers on being selected as the Firefighter of the Month for April 2021! Nick joined us just about a year and a half ago, and has been a great addition to the Howe Springs family! When Nick got his start in the fire service eight years ago, he went all in. Currently, Nick volunteers with Dillon County as a Lieutenant in logistics; he works full time with West Florence Fire Rescue as a Shift Lieutenant; and he works part time for you, the citizens of Howe Springs. You could say Nick was destined to become a firefighter; following in his fathers, and several other family members footsteps that work as firefighters and other emergency services. His desire to help people and his aggressive, get it done attitude are obvious through his work ethic. Nick has already accomplished a lot at a young age, and he plans to accomplish a lot more with a goal of becoming a Chief. When we interviewed Nick, he wanted to give a big thank you to the DCFD, WFFD, and HSFR families for helping him throughout his career. We thank you Nick, for being a part of our family and we look forward to many more years of serving our citizens together.
